Chairman Report

You know I started writing a report and uh, just like that other thing except this is even worse—so I’m going to tear this up and wing it.

First, I’d like to thank all the districts who are hosting this meeting, districts 26, 31, 33, & 34. Thanks for your hospitality. The meals keep getting better, .thanks.

Before we go any further –I want to make a comment about the workshop I just participated in I realize some of the statements I made might have been offensive to some people and I just want all of you to know that these…There hasn’t been a delegate yet that I don’t have utmost respect for. I guess you could say my ego got in the way and I spoke about some anger from past conditions in this area. It’s my hope and prayer that these conditions no longer exists and we can move on and to be a better area. So that we can move along and get this area moving back again. OK?

This has been a hell of a quarter. I’ve heard a lot of rumors, gotten a lot of emails and so forth….Without really investigating the source and so forth I’ve allowed these messages to cloud my judgment and if I’ve said anything to offend anyone, I truly apologize for that. It’s been something…

I participated in this Southeastern Conference that we held in Louisville and before when I was Delegate I complained about all the e-mails that I was getting so one of the main guys from Panel 55 said, “O’Dell, I think I’ll send your name in so that 56 will send you emails too. So guess what…it started again. Then I sent a reply to “all messages”, Thank God they all stopped. The Area seems to be moving along. Financially we seem to be improving. Some of you might be aware that we have a problem or two.

We have lost a computer somewhere. We think we know where it might be. Most likely someone will be coming to the floor asking for a computer for someone else.

Financially we’re in real good shape, so that shouldn’t be a burden at this time.

I work in treatment. That means it is primarily a mental institution. Anyone that knows anything about hospitals and mental institutions, etc., when there is a full moon, there’s hell to pay so I’ve had one heck of a week.
