NORTHERN KENTUCKY INTERGROUP - Bill E. - CHAIR

24 Hour Phone Activity: The following is a synopsis of calls directed to our office from 7/15/06 thru 10/12/06.

12 Step Calls -53

Business Information -97

Meeting Information - 590

Institution Information - 8 1

Al- Anon Calls - 82

The above also includes after hour calls directed to the 12 step cellular phone.

In the month of September we conducted a Fund Raiser, in an effort to improve our financial posture. The activity was very successful; and we plan to make this an annual

Occurrence. It brought the participating groups to a financial awareness of our current situation.

Also in September we initiated a fundamental introductory to A. A. Beginners Class. The meetings are conducted at our Central Office on Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7:OOPM.

We are in hopes of this program taking off with additional announcements.

On November 1 8th the Intergroup is hosting an event depicting" A Historical Account of NKY A.A"., presented by a selected group of Old Timers. This will be an all day affair from

2:OOP.M. Till 9:OOP.M. at the Tichenor middle school in Erlanger, KY.

In an effort to continually increase participation and communication with groups; we are in process of gathering e-¬mail addresses of each groups' representative. Currently only 25% of our groups actively participate in monthly meetings; and it is our intent to make all groups aware of issues currently under consideration.

Our next quarterly to be held October 21, 2006 at 8 p.m. The location is 3926 Poplar level Road at the Saffin Center. I’d like to thank Martha T., who has been the chairperson for the quarterly for the past 3 1/2 years and will be passing this position off at the end of the year, for all of her hard work. Thanks Martha from all of us. But that thanks is for all our hard-working chairmen and committee people who continue to do service for AA. We continue to distribute free literature, where needed, and have a continuous flow of visitors to our central office.

WESTERN KENTUCKY INTERGROUP - Dale W. - CHAIR

Western Ky Intergroup would like to report that our picnic held on Sept. 9, 2006 at Old Kuttawa Park was a big success. The day and the site overlooking Ky Lake was beautiful.

There was a good crowd and even had a bus load attending from a local treatment center to enjoy the fun and fellowship.

We had a short West KY Intergroup meeting with 12 members in attendance followed by a Public Information Workshop. Johnny K. Public Information Chairperson from Area 26 presented an informative workshop and also showed some short Public Service Announcements. If your District or Intergroup has not invited Area 26 P.I. To do a Workshop, I recommend you do so. Thanks again, Johnny, for a job well done. We had a short break, followed by the AI-Anon Family Groups speaker, Judy W. (Thanks, Judy). Hamburgers, Hot Dogs with all the trimmings was served to approximately 60 people. I'm already looking forward to the next picnic.

After lunch, Johnny K. was our A.A. Speaker (Thanks, Johnny). I would like to thank everyone who participated - Ray who brought his cooker and everyone who brought a dish with something in it, and also to each one who attended. It is a great journey for people who normally would not even mix. What a daily reprieve!!

Would all those from Western Ky Intergroup, please stand and be recognized. By the way, we have Conference Approved Books and pamphlets and will travel. Right Joe?

Our next meeting will be in November, gratitude month for A.A. We will meet Nov. 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Lyon Co. Library in Eddyville Ky.

BLUEGRASS INTERGROUP - Rita J. - CHAIR (Report Given By John M.)

We have continued to experience challenges with getting and keeping our committee positions filled at the Intergroup. Our secretary on the steering committee resigned in August due to work schedule conflict. This currently leaves two openings on the steering committee-secretary and vice chair person. However, overall the attendance at the Intergroup meetings have improved and only one of the standing committees does not have a chairperson.

The Bluegrass Intergroup received 2,010 phone calls from Jan. 01 through June 30,2006. Of those calls there were:

12 step calls 108 Surrounding counties 148

A. A. meeting calls 454 Surrounding counties 384

Other calls 754

Al-Anon calls 93

NA calls 69

Our yearly Intergroup Banquet will be Nov. 11, 2006.
