Welcome
Johnny K. - CHAIR

The meeting opened with the serenity prayer. I shared about two workshops, I attended this past quarter. The Southeastern conference August 11 was a special experience.

Barber F.,. Ralph R., Steve P. (the delegate from South Florida), and I were the panel and in our topic was helping our friends help us. I also did a workshop at the Western

Kentucky intergroup picnic. Thanks to Dale W. for inviting me. We then went around the room and everyone shared what was going on in their districts and asked questions about problems they were having. We discuss computer generated card reading, “if you want to drink that is your business if you want to quit that is ours”, those can be given out or put anywhere. We discussed “problems other than alcohol” and how we were limited as to what we can do as an AA group compared to what we can do as an individual.

One district focused on getting information to the older alcoholic and how they were hoping for better results by targeting a specific group. Watch out for committees such as PI and CPC contacting the same people and doing the same service, lest we wear out our welcome. Thanks to districts 26,31, 33, & 34 for hosting this assembly.

We had 10 present. It was one of the best and most informative meetings I have had the privilege to attend. With those in attendance, please stand to be recognized
