Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) Committee

Purpose

The purpose of the CPC Committee is provide information about A.A. to those who have contact with alcoholics through their profession. This group includes healthcare, E.A.P. and H.R. professionals; educators; members of the clergy; lawyers; social workers; military professionals; government officials; and those working in the field of alcoholism. Information is provided about where we are, what we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do.

The Area 26 CPC Committee sends letters, holds discussions, sets up booths at professional conferences, and provides literature to professionals who have contact with alcoholics in the course of their work in Kentucky, Southern Indiana, and a small section of Northern Tennessee. The Area 26 CPC Committee works closely with other committees such as Public Information, Corrections, and Treatment committees as they also deal with professionals who are in contact with alcoholics in the course of their work.
